Nan and Jonas

With a cold-call knock on the studio door, I first met Nan and Jonas while I was in the middle of teaching a workshop. The sales meeting was, needless to say, out of the norm... i.e. standing outside the studio for about 10 minutes while a guest speaker kept the attendees busy! They're such a great couple... and had such a great wedding. I was super excited to shoot their Homewood wedding... it was awesome! Thanks, Nan and Jonas!

Playing catch-up

October is usually one of the busiest months for us, and this past one proved to be no exception. Thus, I'm just a tad behind in my posting weddings. So without further ado (and before I shoot another one and get even further behind), here are several wonderful weddings... all simply gorgeous! (November weddings will be posted soon too!)

Towards the end of October, Sunny and Ben had a beautiful and intimate affair at the Biltmore Estate. Gwenn Ford, of Wedding Inspirations planned the wedding so that it transpired perfectly. The couple had amazing chemistry!

I also shot their engagement session in Charleston a few months ago:

Prior to that, I covered an event at a private home about an hour and a half north of Asheville. The house sits atop a mountian at about an elevation of 4000ft. The view was truly one of the most spectaular I've ever seen!! Susan and Scott were married under a beautiful arbor on one of the estate's many vistas in a beautiful ceremony performed by Susie Greene. Then they had great reception on the back deck of the house. Aria Floral did a great job on the flowers and Artisan provided the tasty food! The fall color was stunning!

Before that one, I shot Sarah's and Brant's beautiful wedding at The Crest Center. Ironically, Jeremy was shooting a different wedding at the The Crest Pavilion right next door! Hopefully, he'll post a couple of shots from his event soon too!

And before that, I shot Lindsey's and Nick's wedding at the Grove Park Inn. The talented Tara presided over the event.

Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of attending and enjoying an event held at the new Coleman Place event center here in Asheville. Monroe, Julie, and Heidi all did a wonderful job of coordinating the event...and were gracious enough to invite me along to be a part of it. I had just arrived back in Asheville from a wedding in Florida (images from that posted here soon) and was tired, but had a great time! Here are a couple of quick shots I grabbed that night with my point and shoot...

My friend Tara and I

Braidstream

Tara's table (I forgot to take a picture of my own table...anyone else get one?)

My friend Parker and I hung out most of the evening

Stacey from the Bloom Room and Liz from the Purple Iris

Maria from Claxton Farms and I

Monroe from Homewood and Coleman Place talking with Stacey

Then later in the lobby.....Segways! Man, I gotta get me one of these!

and as the night of fun concluded I found myself the subject of being "Parkered"...the Asheville equivalent of being Punked, I guess. Parker thought it would be fun to plaster my car with his business cards...all the way around! Thanks, buddy! You'd better keep an eye out for some payback.
