Live report: As I type this, we are hosting Andrew and Rachel of LaCour here in our studio for their Asheville stop on their national tour promoting Shoot Q, cool new studio management software.

Andrew teaching us the ins and outs of Shoot Q:

We had to rearange the studio a bit:

Lunch break at Urban Burrito:

Besides myself, Rachel & Andrew, and Jeremy, today's attendees included Parker, Regina, Dana, Brian, Honour, Jason, Paul, and Corey and Billy Cagle.

Last night, Andrew and Rachel, Parker and Missy, and Jill and I went out for some killer Indian food at Mela:

Day two in the Bahamas was even better than the first! Hilary and Meade are no strangers to having a good time....we hung out at Atlantis for a while, at the beach, in the pool, and that evening Hilary donned her dress again and we got some really fun stuff! Thanks you two for being so great!

Day one here in Nassau has proved to be awesome!! We only had a couple of hours to play around this afternoon due to a little summer thunderstorm, but Hilary and Meade are a super fun couple and are surely not afraid to have fun...more stuff posted here as time allows. Of course, as luck would have it, Paul called us as we were boarding the plane in Asheville to tell us he had just received his passport....minutes too late to come!! Bummer. But with Andy in Paul's stead, we're having a great time and getting some really fun shots.

Passports in Hand...

We're in the airport. Andy Jackson of Portal Films and I are headed down to the Bahamas this morning to cover a few days of what is sure to be an awesome honeymoon for Hilary and Meade. They had a stellar wedding last weekend at the Grove Park Inn here in Asheville.
I'll be posting a few pictures here as we get them....assuming we can get a good internet connection down there!! Paul was unable to get his passport in time since this trip was so last minute, so his brother Andy stepped in and is helping out with our little project.

Stay tuned....

We had a super cool commercial shoot yesterday at Asiana Grand Buffet....day one of two, with the next shoot day coming up in a couple of weeks. Their food is awesome!

This is their pupu platter:

We poured bowls of shrimp dozens of times...super fun, even though we got this shot on the first try:

Regarding last week's Pictage User Group meeting in Chattanooga, my good firend Nathan put together this cool video encompassing the meeting and our fun dinner afterwards. Thanks, Nathan!!

Last week I had a wonderful opportunity to visit my friends Nathan and Amber Holritz in Chattanooga, TN. I went to hang out with them, see the sights in Chattanooga, and give a presentation at the Pictage User Group meeting on Thursday. I had a great time all around. Here are a few shots from the PUG….we had a great turn out, about 3 times the number of folks that usually come, so say the Holritzs. Below that, some from the Aquarium where Nathan, Amber, their two kids, Austen and Addison and I hung out all day….I could have stayed all day at the lepidoptiary (butterfly house)…check out the butterfly slideshow here....and thanks to Amber for the first few shots of me shooting.

After the Pug, we all went out to a great sushi place

Here’s a shot of me that Amber took of me taking the shark shot above

Austen Holritz (age 5) grabbed this great group shot with my D2X

Nathan spied this cool shot for me: it’s a turtle’s foot under the water

Amber grabbed this series of Austen with my camera and 105 macro lens
