It's been a crazy and wonderful couple of weeks!

Just in the past couple of weeks, I've traveled to Virginia, South Carolina, Miami, and Los Angeles and have been back to Asheville between each leg of the journey! Throw in a bunch of bridal shoots, days on end of editing and emailing, and you've got yourself one tired photographer! Thankfully, even though I had a short bridal shoot yesterday and a wedding Saturday, I was able to get a little caught up on my sleep...13 hours straight! That's more than I've been averaging in a week lately!

Because of my recent schedule, I've not had a lot of time to do much blogging, so I'm gonna wrap much of it up here in one fell post, from the newest event, working my way back a bit.

Most recently, (read: yesterday evening), I ran over the the winery at the Biltmore Estate to go grab a few fun shots of Tammy as she stomped grapes..how fun is that!?! The night before last, I shot the uber fun wedding for Tammy and Ben, of Denver, Colorado. They had an awesome and intimate wedding at the Champagne Cellar of the Biltmore Estate. We even had a very cool behind-the-scenes tour of their winery...the most visited winery in the country!

Friday night, Jill and I returned from our trip to Los Angeles.

We made the trip primarily for my speaking engagement at the Pictage Partner Conference...it was awesome! I had loads of fun speaking (despite my notes not working on the laptop for the talk! yikes!) and feel like it went really well. I had a full room, no cell phones went off in the middle, and I got nothing but positive feedback from the crowd; during, after, and third-party! It was also really great to hear some of the other speakers there and learn all about how they do things too! I couldn't get around to everybody, but I was sure to not miss my friends Nathan and Amber Holritz, Mike Colon -who just shot Usher's wedding, Davina Fear, Bob Davis -who just shot Eva Longoria's wedding, David Jay, Chris Humphreys, Adam Linke, and though I didn't get to see them speak, I wanted to congratulate Justin and Mary too.

We had just a tiny bit of time while in LA to see a few friends...like our dear friend Eva. Eva is actually the friend that introduced me to Jill! Thanks, Eva...we love you!

One night we had the opportunity to go to dinner with my mom, sister, brother-in-law, Eva, and the Holritzs... thanks to Amber and Nathan for these shots.

And there's no shortage of spots in LA for a good mani and pedi:

Thanks to Regina and Amber for grabbing these shots of me while I was talking:

And a couple from Loren Scott too:

One night we enjoyed a party put on by KISS albums and Show It Web at a club in Hermosa...a room full of hundreds of the nations top photographers and all I had was my point and shoot! Fun times nonetheless!!

Here a slideshow of some of the embarassing images that came out of the KISSing booth by Foto Cabina! Wild and crazy!

Right before my trip to LA, I shot one of the most fun weddings out at Claxton Farm. Katie and Zac were married outdoors in a gorgeous ceremony and had one of the best ring-bearers ever: their dog Red.

Before Katie's and Zach's wedding, I had to fly back through the night after shooting some engagements down in Miami for Melissa and Alex. Not only did we get some great shots around the marina, we took out a huge yacht for a few hours too...fun times!!
I was only in Miami a few hours, but it was worth it! I also got a few minutes to hang out in South Beach...cool place! And I had not been there in ages.

Right before I flew down to Florida, I shot a great wedding up in Virginia. Jessica and Gary were such a fun couple, and by far had one of the best pairs of attitudes in a bride and groom I've encountered. Thanks, you two, for being so nice. My friend and new associate Amber came with me to second shoot.

And right before Virgina, down in South Carolina, Jeremy second shot with me at the fabulous wedding of Amy and Chris at The Cliffs at Glassy. Amy and Chris are both nuclear engineers for submarines!

And now we're gearing up for October which will yet again prove to be another busy month, not only with weddings and traveling, but also with the upcoming workshop!

Stay tuned for more!!
