Pack Place Exhibit

Hi all,

If you get the chance, the Carolinas' Nature Photographers Association, of which I'm a member, is having their 3rd Annual Autumn Members' Juried Exhibit and Sale at the Pack Place Gallery and Art Museum in downtown Asheville. The show is up now and will be on display until December 31. I'm honored to have 4 images on display this time and to be among some of the best nature photographers out there. There's an opening reception this coming Saturday, December 1st, from 4-6:30pm... please come by and say hi!
Here's a flyer that one of our members was kind enough to make for us:

Playing catch-up

October is usually one of the busiest months for us, and this past one proved to be no exception. Thus, I'm just a tad behind in my posting weddings. So without further ado (and before I shoot another one and get even further behind), here are several wonderful weddings... all simply gorgeous! (November weddings will be posted soon too!)

Towards the end of October, Sunny and Ben had a beautiful and intimate affair at the Biltmore Estate. Gwenn Ford, of Wedding Inspirations planned the wedding so that it transpired perfectly. The couple had amazing chemistry!

I also shot their engagement session in Charleston a few months ago:

Prior to that, I covered an event at a private home about an hour and a half north of Asheville. The house sits atop a mountian at about an elevation of 4000ft. The view was truly one of the most spectaular I've ever seen!! Susan and Scott were married under a beautiful arbor on one of the estate's many vistas in a beautiful ceremony performed by Susie Greene. Then they had great reception on the back deck of the house. Aria Floral did a great job on the flowers and Artisan provided the tasty food! The fall color was stunning!

Before that one, I shot Sarah's and Brant's beautiful wedding at The Crest Center. Ironically, Jeremy was shooting a different wedding at the The Crest Pavilion right next door! Hopefully, he'll post a couple of shots from his event soon too!

And before that, I shot Lindsey's and Nick's wedding at the Grove Park Inn. The talented Tara presided over the event.

Rockstar Workshop: Day 5

Amber here, again... It's been not quite a week since I spent a day talking about Lifestyle Baby Photography. Apparently, we've been stuck in a time warp, because that week feels like an entire lifetime ago. I am sure Corey will update you on our crazy trip to New Orleans soon (and if he doesn't have time before his next trip out of town, don't worry, I'll post something for him), but until then I wanted to get a quick post up about the last day of the workshop.

Corey took some fun images of me shooting and speaking, as well as some brilliantly fun group shots. I don't have access to those right now, but will get them from him as soon as possible and will add them to this post. Until then, I'll just share with you a few images of our wonderful model family.

Chuck, Cendi, and Baby Hank were incredible. It can't be easy to "act normal" with 15 people staring at you, but they performed brilliantly. It didn't hurt that their home was beautiful, their child was super cute, and their interactions were so adorable.

Meet Baby Hank!

Can you tell his parents adore him?

I was a huge fan of their dog, Trout. Trout was incredibly well behaved as well as photogenic. So fun!

Thank you so much Chuck and Cendi for letting us invade your home! I am looking forward to working with you again in the future!

Final fun workshop images to come soon!
