New addition to my site...

Well, after many trials and late nights, tonight I have now launched two new videos on my website...and they're live now! We're super excited. For weeks, I've been collaborating with my good friends Paul and Holley Jackson of Four Seasons Films on this project and it's finally come to fruition. We've made dozens, if not hundreds of changes and tweaks to optimize the videos for the broadest audience possible, but even so, we know that we won't be able to reach some viewers with slower connections. We've had very positive results from our beta testers all across America. We've launched the clips live and hope to continue the success we've had thus far. You're all now our "public beta team"!

If you have a moment (each of the two videos is about 3 or 4 minutes), please check 'em out!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of capturing a very fun and quite beautiful wedding. Katie and Paul were married at The Lake House at Highland Lake. As you can see, the couple was wonderfully theatrical and totally fun to be around! A great time was had by all!

I love getting fun testimonials from my clients, but the one I just got was so cool I just had to share:

Corey is the best!! He was really easy going, and made us feel very relaxed. And more importantly, his pictures were beyond gorgeous. We considered getting divorced and married all over again just so we could have more pictures taken! I can't recommend Corey highly enough.

Thanks to Rebecca and James for that awesome quote!!

I've been traveling a lot recently for weddings and events and the past couple of weeks proved to be no differnt. A few weeks ago, I had the distinct pleasure of traveling to Florida for a wedding.....Ft. Myers to be exact (where, oddly enough I went to high school...no connection to the wedding couple, but a small world nonetheless). Jackie and Chris met a while back on St.Patrick's Day at a pizza place downtown. They really seem to be happy together! We grabbed a few shots downtown before the wedding (yes, we stopped by the pizza place too!), and then headed to the ceremony. The reception was in a beautiful venue called The Verandah. It's right on the river and has a great boardwalk and some amazing oak trees. Thanks, you two, for being such great clients!

Ft. Myers has changed so much since I lived there that I hardly recognized it. The population has nearly tripled and construction is rampant. Jill and I were able to spend some time with my brother and his family while we were there so that was great....and we got to meet his new pups and my new great niece, Raven! She's 5 months old and is a real sweetheart! As I love birds, I was excited to find a wild parrot nesting in a palm tree....also saw this cool, huge lizard! We stopped at UF in Gainsville, my "almost mater", for lunch on the way home...it's a beautiful campus!

After last night's horrific blog disaster and losing hours of work, today's post will be considerably shorter but I definitely want to give some props to the local Pictage User Group meeting that we attended last week.

Jeremy and I joined others including, Jill, Regina, Honour, Dana,
Brady, Corey C., Mark, Danny (and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone), for a great meeting. My buddy Charles Bordner came up from Greenville to give us a recap of his presentation from Partner Con.

Afterwards a few of us went out to dinner for Regina's birthday...fun times! (Jill, I don't think margaritas and pregnancy mix well ;)....I'm kidding of course! )

Man, I'm uber bummed....I had a super cool blog post done for the Pictage Partner Con in Chicago that I had been working on for the last 5 and a half hours...I was almost done, and was saving as I went, but for whatever weird cosmic reason the post just disappeared and the window closed.....and didn't even keep any of my previous saves. That's so frustrating! It was a good one too, with tons of pictures and links. Rats!

I'm so dejected about it, that I can't face re-doing all of that work now, but in the meantime, I made this slideshow.....

Chicago Partner Con

Sorry, everybody... I'll try to bring myself to try it all again soon.

Here are at least a couple of the shots from my point and shoot, but these don't do the fun times we had any justice:
